Faith and values
What faith looks like in a school day
We say it plainly, so families know what a child will hear and do.
Chapel
On Monday mornings the whole school gathers for songs, a story and a prayer. Teachers and the pastor of the church next door take turns at the front.
Prayer
The school says its own opening prayer together at 8:00 a.m. and a short closing prayer at dismissal. Children are asked for the names of friends and family to pray for.
Bible lessons
Each class has a Bible lesson every day, taught by its own teacher. The youngest hear stories, and the oldest read a book through, a chapter at a time.
Holidays
The school closes for the church's holidays and has a spring program, when every class sings for families.
Who is welcome
A school for the church and the neighborhood
Families from many churches send their children here, and so do families who do not belong to one. All families who want what we teach are welcome to visit and to apply. If you have a question about what a child will hear or do, ask the principal at a visit.
